Welcome to MY STORY
From forest to kitchen, land, sea and the shore to plate, my life has always been a journey in food. A culinary mission of discovery that invigorates the senses and stirs curiosity. Nature and all that live within it; that is my inspiration. Whether cooking for a private dinner party, in a restaurant or for family and friends, the ingredients always remain the stars of the show.

FORAGING
Connecting with and respecting nature is not just a hobby, it’s a way of life; which I embrace. Learning about and foraging for wild ingredients brings so much joy.

COOKING
Cooking has always been my passion and career. Food, seasonal and sustainable ingredients inspires me, allowing me to be creative and do what I love doing.

DINING
Food and eating brings people together. I have always had an appreciation for the art of dining, the joy and comfort it provides through nutrition and flavour indulgence.
Introduction
Hi, I’m Shaune. Cooking food is pretty much all I have ever done. My 35 years in the hospitality industry have been an amazing adventure, providing so much joy, and this journey continues each day.
Born in South Africa, where I spent the first half of my life, I remain proud of my roots. During a culinary sabbatical in the UK at the turn of the last century, I managed to fall in love with Scotland. Soon after, I decided to adopt this beautiful country as my new home. <br><br>
First and foremost, I will always be a cook. As a professional chef I am able to practise my craft, and also work with the most amazing produce and ingredients. Whether foraged, wild or sustainably sourced, my world revolves around food in some way or another.<br><br>
Bringing joy to others through food, inspires me. Whether through my photography and food styling, cooking for a private dinner or an event, I enjoy working closely with my customers, providing them with a bespoke and memorable experience.
